Take a leap in Moab

So you’ve always wanted to fling yourself off a cliff in Moab, but something has held you back. A fear of making your very own crater in the desert, maybe.

Well, Mario Richard of Moab B.A.S.E. Adventures has your back – literally. Richard’s company is the first ever to offer tandem cliff B.A.S.E. jumps, and allows even those folks who have never been skydiving before to take the plunge.

Of course, a B.A.S.E. jump is still a B.A.S.E. jump.

“It’s definitely not for everyone,” says Richard. Jumpers must be in relatively good physical condition, weigh 185 pounds or less, and, of course, have the guts to make the jump itself.

Richard’s basic jump package costs $399, while a more adventurous trip (which involves hiking and some roped scrambling to the top of a desert mesa) costs $599. Professional photography and a souvenir video are also available.
